THE OFFICIAL COMPETITION GAMEPLAYS & VIDEO GUIDES:
SPEED: Pure Parkour! A to B timed race through a target-based course of wall, vaults, bars, & drops. Each athlete gets two attempts at the course. The fastest time with the fewest penalties determines the Winner. Onsite Speed Qualifiers will get to run on a similar course to the finals course. Watch general rules for Speed video here
FREESTYLE ONSITE QUALIFIER: 3 competitors in a 90 second heat. Each competitor gets 30 seconds on the course showing their best tricks and creative lines with only 1 competitor moving on. This round works as the qualifier for all onsite athletes to get into the freestyle finals & join the podium winners from all state and regional qualifier competitions leading to the Cup.
FREESTYLE FINALS: A 45 second anything-goes throw-down of the top athletes’ best skills and combinations. Athletes are judged on flow, versatility, difficulty, and execution. Watch general rules for Freestyle video here
Flow – Maintaining CONSTANT speed between skills. Athletes start at 10 points and get deducted for pauses, stutter steps and breaks in their flow.
Execution – Successfully landing skills performed. Athletes start at 10 points and get deducted for poor, sloppy and crash landings.
Versatility – Ability to earn 10 total points by executing two 1 point or higher skills at all 5 key events on the course. Athletes start at 0 points and are awarded points for executing bar, wall, floor, drop and vault skills. See skill list for details.
Difficulty – Determined by combining the 4 most difficult skills executed in your line. No cap on points. See skill list for details. Click Here to Download the 2025-2026 Freestyle Skills List
Skills: There will be 8 event areas spread throughout the gym. Each event will have multiple progression based challenges ranging from 1 to 5 points. Some Events will specialize in basic parkour skills, freestyle skills and some will offer a combination of both. The athlete who completes the highest challenge at every event the fastest is the winner. If no one completes all events within the competition time, the athlete with the most points will be determined the winner. Events will be announced prior to competition day to all registered competitors.
Onsite Judges will be able to help answer any question athletes might have. Rules are subject to change and will be announced prior to the start of competition.
