My name is Fernando Arce, I reside in Phoenix Arizona, and I’ve been an athlete most of my entire life. I’ve trained and competed in Taekwondo since 1995 as well as Track & Field, specifically Long & Triple Jump, since 2002.
It wasn’t until 2008 where my interest in Freerunning & Parkour came to be. I wanted to back flip, I set out my goal, and accomplished it. After that it was a non-stop excitement of discovering new ways to move around, different variants of flips, more people to meet and have the time of my life with.
Shortly after I founded my own team here in AZ, DAFT Freerunning, and with them have traveled across the country for jams, commercial shoots, and coaching opportunities that will stay with me for life.
To this day I still coach Track & Field as well as Parkour & Freerunning. I love sharing my knowledge of athletics to others and seeing the joy on their faces when they achieve something they’ve worked so hard for. Besides coaching I’ve been training, having fun, and living life with Parkour on a day to day basis. I couldn’t imagine myself without Freerunning & Parkour.
