Well, we hope everyone had a great holiday season. There isn't a lot of new Free Running news from the Midwest since we are currently blanketed under 20-30inches (50-90cm) of snow and an average temperature below 32F (0C). It's those two stats that have brought most outside activities to a grinding halt. Especially since there is so much campus snow removal is basically nonexistent. Ice and snow make running real safe! That was sarcasm if you didn't pick that up.
Also, most are still getting settled into the new semester making this a kinda slow week thus far. Friday night at Triad went really well. We worked on a bunch of new stuff and messed around with some crazy stuff. For example, Wil spent some time doing double backs into the pit (we couldn't get him to try it on the floor, probably smart, so far) and Patrick spent some time on the trapoline playing with the double front. We'll see what Sunday at Success brings for us, but if last night was any indication we're going to make some huge gains this semester.
Before I forget, we do have a little news to share, Triad asked us if we were interested in teaching an ongoing series of Parkour classes/seminars on a somewhat consistant basis. We of course happily accepted and are eagerly awaiting the startup. When we talked last night they said they've had about 30-40 people that have showed a serious interest toward the class, which makes it even more exciting.
